Team Lead (gn) - Accounting & Reporting

You will manage the areas of General Ledger & Tax Accounting as well as Regulatory Reporting in accordance with Solvency II; this involves close cooperation and exchange with the holding company and the foreign branches

You will lead your team in the preparation of the local monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB, IFRS and Solvency II for both the national company and the foreign branches. Furthermore, you will ensure adherence to compliance guidelines and the integrity of financial reporting

You will manage the tax reporting process in coordination with the group tax department, the foreign branches, and the external tax partners (auditors). In addition to tax reporting, the focus is on corporate taxes and deferred taxes in accordance with IFRS and Solvency II

In your overarching, strategic role, you will be responsible for the development of new concepts, introduce modern and innovative processes and structures in accounting, optimize existing processes, integrate further acquisitions into existing structures and always keep the big picture in mind

You will be in close and regular contact with the local and cross-group finance departments and benefit from short decision-making paths and efficient processes

You have successfully completed your studies in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field

You have several years of professional experience in the insurance environment, preferably in an international insurance company or in an auditing firm (ideally Big4/next10) with a focus on reinsurance topics

You have strong leadership skills in the accounting & reporting environment of a bafin-regulated international insurance company

You have sound expertise in the areas of General Ledger Accounting, Reinsurance Accounting and Tax Reporting according to HGB, IFRS and Solvency II

You always have the "big picture" in mind and your talent for grasping the big picture sets you apart; you fulfill your tasks confidently, calmly and with a high level of commitment and you always take responsibility for your actions

You are a team player with a hands-on mentality and have excellent communication skills at all hierarchical levels. You are also organized and structured in your approach as well as able to plan ahead
