For our client, a global player in the insurance industry headquartered in Munich, we are searching for a highly organized(Senior) Specialist (m/f/d) International Accounting - Investments with very good analytical and conflict management skills.
(Senior) Specialist (m/f/d) International Accounting - Investments
Key Responsibilities:
You will be in charge of all topics related to IFRS (and MVBS) guidelines with a focus on complex financial instruments and alternative investments as well as hedge accounting (IAS 39, IFRS 9)
You will determine the appropriate inclusion method and classification of investments under IFRS 10/11/12, IAS 28 and IAS 39/IFRS 9
You will define the accounting treatment of the entity's new bonds (IAS 32)
You will take care of questions regarding fair value measurement (IFRS 13)
You act as a first point of contact for the Senior Management as well as external auditors on major accounting matters and significant transactions
You willl support the implementation of new IFRS accounting standards
You support the Group-wide training program with a focus on financial instruments and investments; give presentations on specific accounting and related industry topics at meetings, seminars, programs or external conferences
Key Qualifications:
You have successfully passed your studies in (preferably) Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or Mathemathics
Additional academic/professional qualifications (e.g. PhD, MBA, WP, StB, CPA, CFA) a plus
You have multiple years (5+) of relevant job experience with financial instruments including hedge accounting and alternative investments; previous employment within an accounting policy function of a large corporate or with a Big 4 company is a plus
You have deep IFRS accounting knowledge
Your excellent written and verbal communication skills distinguish you and you have the ability to work efficiently and independently
You are always willing to learn new things and constantly want to improve your skills
You are fluent in Business English, written and spoken (no German skills required)
