(Senior) Specialist (gn) - Reinsurance Accounting
Your tasks:
Your main task is managing and controlling the company's relevant reinsurance data in close cooperation with the management
You are responsible for the timely reconciliation of receivables and liabilities from reinsurance and analyze and clarify internal group differences for this purpose
You ensure the timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and IFRS and take over reporting
You work on accounting projects as well as on the further development and optimization of processes within the finance department
You work closely and trustingly with the finance departments and the actuarial department within the entire organization and are available as a technical contact for reinsurance accounting topics
Your profile:
You have successfully completed your studies (preferably) in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field or have a comparable qualification
You have already gained several years of professional experience in the insurance environment, preferably in an international insurance company or in an auditing firm (ideally Big4/next10) with a focus on insurance. You also have a strong understanding of HGB and/or IFRS. Solvency II and IFRS 17 experience is a big plus
You have the ability of developing and applying operational excellence (process structure, process efficiency & process documentation) and you have excellent analytical skills, coupled with a strong understanding of numbers and detail accuracy
You are a team player with a hands-on mentality and have excellent communication skills at all hierarchical levels
You are organized and structured in your approach as well as able to plan ahead. You always keep the big picture in mind
You are business fluent in English and ideally fluent in German. You are also proficient in Excel
