(Senior) Specialist (gn) - General Accounting & Tax

You will be responsible for preparing the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB, IFRS 17 and Solvency II and will also coordinate the foreign branches regarding accounting-related issues in General Accounting

You will manage the tax reporting process in coordination with the internal group tax department, the foreign branches, and the external tax partners (auditors). In addition to tax reporting, the focus is on corporate taxes and deferred taxes in accordance with IFRS and Solvency II

You will work closely and trustfully with the entire accounting department within the company as well as across the Group

You will contribute to accounting projects and be involved in the further development and optimization of accounting-relevant national and international processes

You have successfully completed your studies in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field

You have already gained several years of professional experience in group accounting recording to HGB and IFRS, preferably in an international insurance company or in an auditing firm (ideally Big4/next10). Professional expertise in both the auditing environment and in an internationally operating group is a big plus

Ideally, you have expertise in tax reporting, corporate income tax and deferred taxes in accordance with IFRS and Solvency II. Or you are open-minded and motivated to acquire the relevant knowledge

You have the ability of developing and applying operational excellence (process structure, process efficiency & process documentation) and you have excellent analytical skills, coupled with a strong understanding of numbers and detail accuracy

You are a team player with a hands-on mentality and have excellent communication skills at all hierarchical levels

You are organized and structured in your approach as well as able to plan ahead. You always keep the big picture in mind

Experience in project management and stakeholder management as well as in tax reporting is a big plus

You are business fluent in English and ideally fluent in German
