Senior Accounting Data Analyst (gn)

For our client, a global player in the insurance industry, headquartered in Munich, we are searching for an experienced Senior Accounting Data Analyst (gn) with a forward-thinking, and structured way of working as well as a strong hands-on mentality.

Your tasks:

You will have complete ownership of the technical processes involved in executing the financial closing for insurance and reinsurance accounting

You will lead the advancement of automation and drive efficiency improvements in the accounting domain to ensure all processes are scalable for new business ventures, while also adapting and expanding them to accommodate mergers and acquisitions (M&A)

You will oversee a full-time employee and a working student within the Accounting Operations team, guiding them on all data-related aspects in the accounting domain

You will support financial transitions during M&A projects

You will assist in executing financial closing tasks for insurance and reinsurance accounting

Your Profile:

You have successfully completed your studies (preferably) in mathematics, business administration, business engineering, or a related field or have a comparable qualification

You have already gained professional experience in the insurance environment, preferably in an international insurance company or in an auditing firm (ideally Big4/next10) with a focus on insurance

You have in-depth experience with SQL, combined with a strong understanding of insurance and reinsurance business processes and have a strong financial expertise with a focus on accounting, along with the ability to design and oversee advanced financial processes

You have experience with SAP, Power BI and Python, along with a basic understanding of actuarial work, are definite pluses

You own collaboration skills, a proven attention to detail, and the ability to perform well under pressure

You have exceptional analytical and conceptual skills, coupled with excellent organizational and prioritization abilities and a keen attention to detail

You are fluent in business English. Business proficiency in German is also very welcome
